Summer dining cafe-style outdoors on our weathered patio seats you right at the water's edge. Year-round dining inside offers you a beautiful river view with an urban touch, a perfect place for winter storm watching. Our history. The Waterfront Depot is housed in the old Mapleton Train Station. Saved from demolition over 40 years ago, this historic building found its new home on the shore of the Siuslaw river a stone's throw from the Siuslaw River Bridge. The old train station's warm, classic qualities offer a perfect counter balance to the sophisticated, urban atmosphere I've created in The Waterfront Depot.

Amazing dishes with excellent and complex flavors, all served up in an establishment with superb ambiance. My husband and I have been here several times and the Waterfront Depot never disappoints. Make sure to reserve yourself a table because this little gem is usually booked up in advance and while walk-ins are welcome, you might have to wait awhile before they can accommodate you. Nevertheless, the wait is always worth it. Highly recommend.

Crab stuffed mushrooms were good. Cajun oysters, 50% of our party liked them. I got the seafood platter, cod tasted frozen, prawns and claw chowder were good. We all got a different mixed drinks and all were good. I liked the atmosphere. Not bad for only $81.

You will never find another like Waterfront. Their food is gorgeously presented and tastes just as good as it looks. If you plan on eating here--which I highly recommend--you will want to schedule a reservation, since they are usually booked. Their atmosphere is a little loud and crowded but they make up for it with their delicious food. So just be patient and you will without a doubt leave satisfied.
